Terracotta Reed Stool
One of the outcomes from a research project called
“Reading Reeds”, which looked into the design potential of locally harvested reeds, an abundant, sustainable material in Sweden.
Exploring unexpected material combinations with reeds within a sculptural furniture setting, air dried terracotta clay, reeds and dyed raffia were used to create a structural stool, reminiscent in proportions to the archetype milking stool.
